Our 6 bedroom family home is a historical estate surrounded by charming grounds, a pool and magnificent trees. Colle sleeps a maximum of 10 guests.
Colle’s land was granted by Thomas Jefferson to Philip Mazzei in 1773. Mazzei planted vines and built the original Colle. Around 1930, Colle was disassembled and parts of the home’s exterior were put to use for the renovation of Charlottesville’s Michie Tavern, located a few miles away. In 1939 the Woodward family purchased the property and rebuilt Colle on the original foundation. Today, the wine culture still flows strong throughout the property. Colle is located directly across the road from Jefferson Vineyards.
