About UsOur WinesUpcoming EventsDirectionsPairingsDuring Your VisitHome Page

The City of Charlottesville and Albemarle county are our home and we're flattered to have you as our guests.  There are beautiful places at every turn, and fascinating people to keep conversations lively.  Maybe its a product of living in the shadow of Thomas Jefferson and Monticello, but there's something in the air that enlivens the spirit and makes the heart glad.

On your way up the mountain to Jefferson Vineyards, you'll first pass Michie Tavern and then Jefferson's Monticello.  About a mile beyond Monticello, you'll see the first of Thomas Jefferson's original vineyard sites (as the road veers left, look over your right shoulder to the hillside behind you).  Over the fields to your right, you get your first look at our winery.  Next, the beautiful and historic St. Luke's Church and the old Simeon farm store (now BRIX Marketplace, a fantastic place to get lunch) appear as the road veers hard right.  At our entryway, we've replanted another of Thomas Jefferson's original vineyard sites.  You can't miss it.

We hope you'll enjoy your visit, and that you'll come again.  We're a small business, and small business is built on good neighbors and old friends.  We aspire to be both.

While you're here, don't miss ...
