May 3 -- Master Class in Red Wine Blending
Spend the day with winemaker Andy Reagan to learn the art and science of blending wine. Each table of six guests will be given ample instruction and materials, as well as four 750mL barrel samples of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. Working together, each table will produce a Meritage blend and and two varietal wines. We'll taste and discuss everyone's wines. Call the winery to make you reservations at 800-272-3042. Space is very limited. Price $50 per person
July 12 -- Fete de la Bastille
Join us at the winery for an unforgettable evening of culinary extravagance. Dine with us on five courses and seven wines as we celebrate the joys of table with family and friends of Virginia's top boutique winery. This opportunity comes just once a year and is simply not to be missed. Space is limited, so please book early, as this evening always sells out. 800-272-3042. Price $100 per person, all inclusive.
Late August through November -- Harvest
Harvest is a wonderful time of year at the winery, where the fruit of the vintage makes its way from vineyard to winery under the watchful eyes of our winemaker and staff. In order to focus fully on this critical activity, we do not hold any winery events in the Fall, nor do we typically attend the wine festivals so common at this time of year. Our tasting room staff does offer tours of the winery however, so guests can usually get an up close look at what it takes to turn 100 tons of good Virginia fruit into 6000 cases of fine Virginia wine.
